Checklist for Ancillary Probate

The following documents are typically needed to open a testate Florida ancillary probate:

  • Court authenticated copy of:
  • Decedent's last will
  • Petition for Probate
  • Order admitting the will to probate (If testate)
  • Letters of administration
  • Three Original Death Certificates
  • If not set forth in the Petition for Probate, name, address, and social security number of all beneficiaries
  • Copy of deed
  • Copy of tax bill
  • Inventory of Florida property
